Check In / Check Out

Check-In Time is between 4 pm - 6 pm. Late check-in may incur an additional charge to cover staff time to await your arrival.

Check-Out Time is no later than 11:00 am. This time is firm so that we have sufficient time to prepare for guests arriving later that same day.

Kitchen Facilities

The Kitchen at The Parker House is provided as a convenience for all registered paying guests to prepare simple meals or snacks. Guests are expected to share the space and facilities and clean up after themselves. There is no daily maid service. Extended meal preparation or preparation of full meals for groups of 6 or more must be scheduled in advance so that all guests can be accommodated. Complimentary hot and cold beverages are provided for registered guests.

The Kitchen at The Parker House is a full-service kitchen with the usual appliances available to you at no additional charge (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee brewer, and toaster oven). There is dish service for 8, silverware for 8, wine glasses for 12 and an assortment of cooking utensils and serving dishes and platters. There are the usual pots and pans, pasta pot, cake pan, but nothing unusual (i.e. turkey roaster).

The kitchen and dining areas are available for rent by non-guests, but this must also be scheduled in advance. An additional banquet or conference fee is applicable if your group is hosting a larger group for dining, party or conference purposes. The fee is negotiable depending upon the extent of services that are requested. The Parker House can reasonably accommodate up to 32 people for a sit down dinner or conference utilizing the Sun Room. Seventy (70) is the maximum number of people that can be accommodated for a casual walk around or outdoor garden party utilizing rented tents, tables and chairs. Recommendations for local caterers are available upon request.

Laundry Service

There are no laundry facilities at The Parker House. There is a Laundromat within walking distance. It is located on a small street just across from the Post Office.

Maid Service

There is no daily maid service. Linens, soap and shampoo are provided. Guests staying two or more days may request periodic fresh linens and room cleaning.

Bicycle Storage

Bicycles are NOT permited in the house. There are open large metal bike racks at the rear of The Parker House. Also, there is an enclosed bike storage building behind the house. These bike areas are provided for your convenience. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BICYCLES. ALWAYS secure your bicycle with a good lock and chain when it is unattended. Loaner locks are available during your stay.

Pets

NO PETS are permitted at The Parker House. We have many guests that have allergies to pets and the additional cleaning required would be time and cost prohibitive.

Locking-Up

You are responsible for your keys to the house and your room. In addition to room keys, all guests are given a key to one of the outside doors so they can come and go at their leisure. Also, you are responsible for all keys upon leaving the house. Keys may be left in each door or on the first floor desk. There is a $50 fee for any key not returned because it requires us to call a locksmith to change the locks.

Smoking

Smoking inside The Parker House is strictly prohibited. Smoking is permitted on the outside porches. Please dispose of cigarette butts in appropriate containers.

Cleaning / Damage Deposit

Guests are responsible for any excessive cleaning, missing items or broken items. For guests renting single rooms, your credit card information will suffice as a potential damage deposit. You will receive notification prior to any additional fees being added to your credit card. A $150 usage and breakage deposit may be required before your visit for multiple-room rentals, whole-house rentals, conference and/or banquet rentals. This fee would apply only if additional or unusual cleaning is required as a result of your visit (i.e. wine spills on the carpet), or permanent damage/breakage occurs to linens, glassware, appliances, furniture or the house.

Maximum Occupancy

The maximum number of guests staying overnight at The Parker House is 16 adults. Sleeping on sofas, on chairs, on the floor, or in common areas is prohibited.
